Performing together regularly since 2015, Jane West and Joe Golden first met back in 1996, when Joe was Jane's first guitar instructor. Almost 20 years later, Joe heard Jane singing Muddy Waters one night and recognized her. Weeks afterwards, Jane encountered his band, Sugar Mountain, and decided to approach her former teacher. That evening, Joe's band started a tradition of inviting Jane to sing with the band on a few songs when she would attend one of their shows.
These days as an acoustic duo focusing on Americana classics, Jane's vocals and Joe's multi-instrumental talents (guitar, banjo, and fiddle) go from laid back strummin' to high energy pickin', playing songs of Gillian Welch, Doc Watson, J. J. Cale, and traditional country & bluegrass. They also share a love for performing acoustic Grateful Dead, as well as playing current artists like John Mayer and Margo Price.
Find Joe Golden through his company, Westmoreland String Workshop. As a luthier, Joe specializes in the care of most string instruments and has recently become a certified guitar technician for Taylor Guitar.

West Holliday Trip
LWest Holliday Trip is an acoustic (sometimes electric) duo (sometimes trio or full band) with incomparable harmonies, multiple instrumental changes, playing all genres. Meredith Holliday and Jane West's blend make them stand out in a sea of vocal harmony.
Both women have made full time careers out of singing for the last twenty years, always looking to find someone to harmonize with. Meredith met Jane while she was playing a gig, convinced that the two of them could easily sing together. With the power of social media, they met up at an open stage and decided to sing a few of their favorite songs. Never performing together before, Jane and Meredith decided to work together after just one impromptu set.
Since 2013, Meredith and Jane started singing together and haven't stopped. West Holliday Trip continues to perform all over Pennsylvania, and occasionally can be found playing shows out of state, like Ocean City, MD and even Nashville, TN. In 2016 they won first place at Greensburg's Battle of The Bands event, “Rock The Palace”. They are also in an all-female tribute Crosby, Stills, & Nash tribute act called Sweet Judys. westhollidaytrip.facebook.com noteastmusic.com
