Tori Amos has been a favorite musician of mine since my friend Stephen said this to me in the late ‘90s: “Listen to Tori until you love her.” It certainly didn’t take long until I was totally obsessed! I was lucky enough to see her multiple times over the years, and this old shirt had seen better days. I decided to breathe new life into it by doin’ a little stitchin’ ‘n stuffin’ and couldn’t be happier.

I made this Jimi Hendrix pillow after I spilled hibiscus tea all over the side of a cream colored “Are You Experienced” shirt my friend Tamara gave me- she knows how much I dig him. I carefully cut the graphic out thinking I could sew it onto another shirt without a huge pink stain. Turns out that I had the perfect pillow for a project I had no intention making. Thus, my first real upcycled music pillow was born. This one is “not for sale” because it’s currently in very good hands with a very special fan!
